SILVIA MORETTI

   After studying under Annarosa Taddei, Ms Moretti graduated in piano studies at the "Francesco Morlacchi" Conservatory of Music in Perugia. She then went on to continue her studies under Guido Agosti and attended the Académie Internationale d’Été in Nice as a student of Pierre Sancan for piano and with Maurice Raskin for chamber music studies. Whilst attending the "Hugo Wolf" High School in Acquasparta she followed a course for piano soloists and collaborators held by Alessandro Specchi and Elio Battaglia. She then studied chamber music with Dario De Rosa (Trio di Trieste) in Vicenza and at the Fiesole School of Music. Ms Moretti has worked together with singers in concerts of Lieder and since 1988 she has held concerts "for four hands" duets with the pianist Andrea Trevisan in Italy and abroad.

   Being interested in the didactics of piano and music, especially in its educative function for children, she attended courses for teaching piano using the Suzuki method at the British Institute in England (1st, 2nd and 3rd level), participating also in international workshops in Kolding (Denmark), Brussels, Dublin. Ms Moretti finished her studies at the Italian Suzuki Institute where, as a student of Lola Tavor,  she attained the 5th level for teaching piano, the first in Italy, from the European Suzuki Association.

   Ms Moretti has held  the Suzuki  Piano Courses in Perugia since 1993. These courses are specialized in teaching piano to children of three years of age and upwards. In 1997 she organized "The first national recital for students of piano from the Italian Suzuki schools".

 


ANDREA TREVISAN

  Andrea Trevisan studied piano with his father Renzo and later with Franco Pacioselli where he graduated from the "Francesco Morlacchi" Conservatory of Music in Perugia. He then went on to become a student of Guido Agosti, Orazio Frugoni and Pierre Sancan in Paris and attended the Académie Internationale d’Été in Nice. Mr Trevisan studied chamber music under Dario De Rosa (pianist of the Trio di Trieste) in Vicenza and at the "Scuola di Musica di Fiesole". He attended master classes with Jean-Marie Darré, Paul Badura-Skoda and Vlado Perlmuter.

   He has played mainly as a soloist and in duos with the violin in Italy and abroad, and he has also played in various formations and chamber music ensembles. Since 1988 he has held concerts in piano duet with Silvia Moretti.

   Mr Trevisan is professor of "Theory, Music reading and Ear training" and "Semiography of music" at  the "Luigi Cherubini" Conservatory of Music in Florence.  He has held concert-conferences on works and on significant authors of piano literature. He has always been dedicated to teaching piano and chamber music. His students have been awarded prizes in various national and international piano competitions.

 


     

THE COURSES

  • Suzuki Piano Course by Silvia Moretti  has existed since 1993 and it has taught many students through lessons, recitals, concerts and music encounters. It is intended for children of 3 years of age and upwards and offers a more natural and solid base on which to continue their studies. The first aim of the study path is personal enrichment through musical training but it can also leads to training at a professional level. Every year students' concerts  are held at Christmas, in Spring and at the end of the scholastic year (June). Since 2004 Suzuki Piano Course events have been organized by the Centro Studi Pianistici "Renzo Trevisan".
  • Lessons for advanced students given by Andrea Trevisan: deeper knowledge of repertoires, preparation of competitions, auditions, exams and concerts.
